February - Black History Month

February - Black History Month Activities

Cellebrating Black Excellence & Achievement

February is a month long celebration of black history, excellence, and achievement.  Students learn about the numerous African Americans who are making and have made history through their inventions, scientific advances, social justice efforts, and entrepreneurial endeavors.  This celebratory month is a tribute to the many generations of African Americans who persevered through oppression, discrimination, disenfranchisement, economic hardship, and continuous arduous obstacles.  During this month students learn about and celebrate black history, excellence, and achievement through activities that highlight and magnify the Black Experience around the world.
